LG Chem begins mass supply of semiconductor strippers to US Amkor

B910化工消息:7 Yue 5 Ri Xiao Xi, South Korean chemical company LG Chem announced that it will begin mass supply of semiconductor strippers to US-based Amkor Technology, one of the world leading outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) companies. Amkor provides packaging and testing services to major semiconductor companies worldwide. Strippers are essential semiconductor materials used to remove photoresist residue remaining on substrates after semiconductor circuit patterns have been formed. As semiconductor manufacturing processes become increasingly complex with the advancement of AI chips and high-performance computing, demand for high-purity strippers has been rising significantly. The supply deal represents a significant milestone for LG Chem semiconductor materials business. LG Chem has been expanding its portfolio of electronic materials, including semiconductor photoresists, etching materials, and display materials, as part of its strategy to diversify beyond traditional petrochemical products. Amkor Technology is a major semiconductor packaging and testing services provider headquartered in the United States, with operations spanning Asia including South Korea, China, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
